Terzo anello realizzato con bottone.

Third ring realized with a button.

Dopo il rosa e il verde pistacchio é arrivato il turno del blu. Un blu profondo, scuro come la notte. Per questo bottone è tornato in scena con le perline il filo di rame. Argentato e luminoso un lungo e sottile fascio scende inferiormente per creare l'anello e risale per avvolgersi intorno a questa cane di perline bugle lavorate al peyote piatto e chiuse intorno a del caucciu'. Due piccole pietre di Fluorite per dare luce ai toni scuri. Semplice, lineare, elegante.

        After the old pink and pistachio green buttons is the time of the blue. A deep blue, dark as night. For this button get back together beads and copper wire. A silver and bright copper wire falls below the blue button to form the ring, and then go up to wrap around beads's cane that is made of  bugle beads worked with flat peyote technique, and closed around a tube rubber. Two little Fluorite stones to give light at dark tones. Simple, linear, chic.

Un anello in edizione limitata -A limited edition ring-

Il mio primo nuovo lavoro di quest'anno è un anello. Un anello in edizione limitata perché a essere "limitata" è la materia prima a disposizione: il bottone.

         My first new work for this new year is a ring. A limited edition ring, because the raw material available, the button, is limited.

Forse ve ne avevo già parlato, o forse no ve lo avevo accennato da qualche altra parte (a sì, qui), ma ho ricevuto un bel sacchetto pieno di bottoni "speciali". Sono bottoni "vecchi", affascinanti ma molto contemporanei. Quando li ho visti il cuore mi ha mancato un colpo! 
Non so se vi è mai capitato di ricevere un regalo simile. Intendo che quando ti viene donato qualcosa col cuore e che per di più può essere utilizzato, reimpiegato, trasformato dalla tua fantasia l'emozione diventa doppia. Ogni bottone mi ha "mostrato" cosa puo' diventare, e se i miei pensieri fossero stati nuvolette di fumo ne avrei avute tante sospese sulla testa.

      Perhaps I had already spoken of these, or maybe I will not, or I mentioned it somewhere else (o yes, here), but I've got a bag full of "special" buttons. There are "old", fascinating but very contemporary buttons. When I saw them, my heart missed a beat! 
I don't know if you have ever received such a gift. I mean that when something is given from the heart, and which moreover can be used, reused, transformed by fantasy, emotion becomes double. Every buttons show me what it would to become, and if my thoughts were clouds of smoke, I would have had a lot hanging on the head.

Oggi vi mostro cosa è venuto fuori da un bottone rosa, uno di quelli semplici, grandi e a quattro buchi. Vedendolo  l'ho subito poggiato sul mio anulare destro. Sapevo già che sarebbe diventato un anello, qualcosa di importante, di "ingombrante".

         Today I show you what I have made with a pink button, one of those simple, large and with four holes. I immediately placed on my right ring finger. I already knew that it would become a ring, something important, "unwieldy".

Nonostante l'appariscenza "complessa" la lavorazione in realtà é molto semplice. Peyote ed Herringbone si alternano per ottenere questa forma spigolosa che si avvolge come una foglia intorno alla perla in madreperla rosa. Sotto di essa il bottone separa e congiunge il lavoro ad una semplice fascetta realizzata al Peyote dispari.

        Despite the "complex" flamboyance processing is actually very simple. Peyote and Herringbone alternate to get this angular shape like a leaf that wraps around the pink pearl of mother of pearl. Below it, the button separates and joins the work to a simple band made to peyote odd.

Pochi elementi: perline in vetro, ago, filo, passione...

Ho già in mente (in realtà li ho appena fermate su carta) altri progetti con i bottoni-fratellini verde giallo e blu. E saranno anche loro in edizione limitata ;-)

            Few elements: glass beads, needle, thread, passion... 

I have in mind (I have just stopped them on paper right now) other projects with the buttons-siblings green yellow and blue. It will be limited edition too ;-)

L'Albero delle Perline on Alittlemarket!!

Oggi post su una novità che tanto novità non è dato che il logo è già presente da giorni qui a destra nel blog...

            Today a post about a news that is not really a news, given that the logo is already here on the right of the blog since days...

Sono su Alittlemarket!!

Innanzitutto di cosa si tratta: Alittlemarket è una piattaforma di vendita online di artigianato che riunisce creatori di vario genere (non ci sono solo perlinatori! ^_^) tutti accomunati fra loro dalla passione per il fatto a mano. La misson di questa community è quella di promuovere l'handmade italiano, far conoscere i creatori fra di loro e ai suoi potenziali clienti, permettendo inoltre a questi ultimi di interagire direttamente con l'artigiano.

            I'm on Alittlemarket!! First of all, what it is: Alittlemarket is a platform for the online sell of handicraft which brings together creators of all kinds (there are not only beaders! ^_^), all link about passion for handmade. The misson of this community is to promote Italian handmade, raise awareness among their creators and its potential customers, while also allowing them to interact directly with the craftsman.

Ho ricevuto l'invito a far parte di questa community mesi fa (non vi dico la gioia e la paura di non riuscire, di come fare a fare, ecc ecc... sono paranoica, lo so...), e quest'estate oltre a lavorare al "cambio d'abito" per il blog ho lavorato un po' anche a questa nuova pagina. Devo dire la verità, non è stato poi così difficile anche perché il team ALM mi è stato molto vicino, mi ha guidata,  sostenuta ed incoraggiata di fronte ai primi intoppi (quelli non mancano mai, uff).

            I have received the invitation to be part of this community months ago (I won't tell you my joy and fear at the same time to fail, of how to do, etc etc... I'm paranoid, I know...), so this summer in addition to the work on the blog, I have worked a little bit to this new page. I have to tell you the truth, it wasn't difficult because the ALM team has been very close to me, it has guided me, supported me and encouraged me up against  the first hitch (those never fail, phew).

Iscriversi è davvero molto semplice e potete farlo sia come venditori che come acquirenti. Ve lo consiglio vivamente anche perché potrete vedere lavori fantastici.

Sono super felice di aver avuto questa opportunità (l'ho già detto??).

Cos'é/What is Alittlemarket

Anello 'Pechino' -Pechino ring-

Appena terminato e fotografato questo nuovo anello realizzato su richiesta per la mia sorellina. ^_^
 Just finished and photographed  this new ring created on request for my little sister. ^_^

Anche questo bijoux è un "concentrato" di tecniche. La fascetta è realizzata a scaletta con perline bugle dall'effetto ondulato ed è rifinita con un orlo brick stitch di perline rocailles. I tre rombi sono realizzati con due tecniche onnipresenti in quasi tutti i miei lavori, Peyote ed Herringbone.

            Even this bijoux is a heap of different techniques. The tubular band is made with beads ladder of wavy bugle beads and completed with Brick stitch brink of rocailles. Three diamonds are made with two techniques ever-present in my works, Peyote and Herringbone stitchs.

Questo anello dall'aspetto serioso e mascolino l'ho chiamato 'Pechino' perché montando fra loro le varie parti ho pensato all'Oriente, alla sua particolare architettura e ai tipici tetti sviluppati in orizzontale con gli spigoli curvati verso l'alto. Voi ci vedete qualcos'altro? 

            I have named this serious and mannish ring 'Pechino' because mounting among them the various parts I have thought about Orient, especially to its particular architecture and the typical roofs developed horizontally with the edges bent upwards. Do you see it something different?
