Buongiorno e buon anno!!

Oggi sulla pagina facebook si "proclama" il vincitore del 'Holidays Giveaway Time', il mio primo giveaway (che emozione!). 

Come già anticipato l'estrazione è stata fatta da Edoardo che ha rovistato con le sue manine tra i bigliettini contenenti i nomi di tutti i partecipanti (grazie amici!!).

As anticipated the extraction was made by Edoardo who rummaged with his hands between the cards containing the names of all participants (thanks friends!!).

In premio un paio di orecchini (non potevano che essere loro i protagonisti), un 'Beads Tree' che parla un po' di me e di quello che più amo fare. In questo piccolo paio di bijoux infatti ho scelto di racchiudere ciò che ha maggiormente caratterizzato il mio lavoro negli ultimi tempi: la realizzazione di perni decorati o come dico io foderati e la lavorazione tubolare. Perline in vetro Rizo, bugle-beads e suede sono i componenti base.

           Win a pair of earrings (could not that be the protagonists), a 'Beads Tree' who speaks a little bit of  me and what I love to do. In this small pair of bijoux I chose to enclose what has characterized most of my work of recent times: the realization of pins decorated or as I say lined and processing tubular. Rizo Glass beads, bugle-beads and suede are the basic components.

Li ho pensati proprio per l'occasione, li ho realizzati con passione e con la voglia di stupirvi con nuove forme. Spero davvero che la persona che li riceverà ne rimarrà felice. Di nuovo a presto e... buon inizio a tutti voi! ♥

Orecchini 'Red Cape' Agata e perline -'Red Cape' earrings Agate and beads-

Dalla "scatola delle pietre" sono venute fuori altre due gocce. Trattasi di due belle (enormi) gocce di Agata viola.

         From the " box of the stones" came out two other drops. These are two beautiful (huge) drops of purple agate.

Diciamo che questi orecchini fanno molto Natale (o forse più capodanno) per via della loro estrema lucentezza!

         We say that these earrings befitting the atmosphere of Christmas (or perhaps more New Year's Eve) due to their extreme shine!

Il colore è stato ancora una volta fonte d'ispirazione. Di solito cerco di dare un equilibrio diverso, cerco di contrastare un colore molto luminoso avvicinandolo ad uno opaco, un modo secondo me per renderli entrambi "visibili". Ma questa volta volevo mantenere la lucentezza già presente nella pietra.

         The color has been once again a source of inspiration. Usually I try to give a different balance, I try to counter a very bright color bringing it closer to a matte color, a way for me to make them both "visible". But this time I wanted to keep the shine already present in the stone.

Ho scelto di lavorare con delle Delica black per realizzare il pentagono che avrebbe rivestito il perno argentato, e un rosso carminio estremamente brillante per il "vestitino". Più che un vestitino una mantellina, come suggerito dalla mia amica Laura.

         I chose to work with black Delica-beads to realize the pentagon would have covered the earring-pin silver, and an extremely brilliant carmine red for the "dress". More than a dress a cape, as suggested by my friend Laura.

Questa mantellina di perline è stata realizzata seguendo lo schema classico della goccia dalla quale sono partite lateralmente due ali per "abbracciare" la lavorazione (a goccia) posteriore. Questa è stata la parte più difficile da realizzare. Infatti, mentre per tutto il resto sono andata dritta come un treno qui ho avuto un po' di difficoltà. Non riuscivo ad avvolgere la pietra come volevo. Ho provato e riprovato finché finalmente ho capito che dovevo cambiare strada, trovandola.

         This beaded cape was built by following the classical scheme of the drop, from which two lateral wings come out to "embrace" the  drop on back side. This moment has been the most difficult. In fact, while for all the rest I went straight as a train, here I had a little bit of "difficulty". I could not wrap the stone as I wanted. I tried again and again until I finally realized I had to change course, finding it.

Rocailles e drop beads sottolineano e ammorbidiscono gli angoli di questa lavorazione.

Un disco di mezzo cristallo nero squadrato unisce perno e goccia mediante un filo invisibile.

          Drop beads and seed beads emphasize and soften the angles of this working.

A disk of black crystal square unites pin and drop by an invisible thread.

Orecchini molto decorati -Decorated earrings-

Perline vi adoro!!! Tra le millemila cosa che vorrei fare da sempre c'è il realizzare un video di chiacchiere su di loro, per farle conoscere meglio, farle amare e Apprezzare (si si, con la A maiuscola!) e vi dirò che il mio primo video tutorial, che dovrebbe essere qui da qualche parte nascosto nel pc, aveva una premessa simile. Perché vi dico questo. Perché noto che la maggior parte delle persone nutre per queste piccole minuterie un pregiudizio, e di conseguenza un lavoro di perline è 'roba di poco valore'.

            Beads I love you!!! Among the many thing I would always do there is the desire to make a video about them, to make them understand, appreciate and love them (yeah, with a capital A!) rather I tell you that my first video tutorial, which should be here somewhere hidden in the pc, had a similar premise. Why I tell you this? Because I know that most of the people have an injury for beads, and therefore a work of beads is considered 'stuff of little value'.

Se si pensa invece al fatto che questi piccoli, piccolissimi elementi in vetro hanno una loro storia antica e sono nati proprio per permettere la realizzazione di lavori minuziosi, allora forse si potrebbe arrivare ad apprezzare 1 loro e 2 un lavoro di perline e comprendere la passione e la cura che c'è dietro.

Ok, prima o poi un post tutto per loro! Ma oggi si parla di questi.

            On the contrary, if  you think that the fact that these small, tiny glass elements have their own ancient history and were born just to allow the creation of meticulous work, then maybe you could get to appreciate them and the work with beads and the passion and care behind it. Ok, sooner or later a post all about them! But today we talk about these.

Lo so, ultimamente sono piuttosto monotona. E' un bel po' che non realizzo un bracciale o una collana (anche se di queste come vi dicevo giorni fa ne ho avviate ben due...) o qualcos'altro. Il fatto è che ho tante visioni-schizzi che si prestano meglio a questo soggetto.

Comunque, loro, questi nuovi orecchini, in un certo senso si collegano al discorso iniziale perché sono proprio un concentrato di tipi di perline, tecniche e passione. E sempre loro sono il risultato del mio 'staccare' la testa da un progetto che non 'veniva bene' (anche di questo ne ho parlato qualche giorno fa ^_^). Non so cosa succede a voi quando questo capita. Quando riprendo un progetto, lo ridisegno, incomincio a rimetterci le mani su e man mano che vado avanti e sento che mi avvicino a quello che vorrei ho un tuffo nello stomaco e mi sento FELICE. Adoro le perline. Sono la mia cioccolata e il mio veleno allo stesso tempo!

            I know, lately I'm pretty dull. It's a long time that I haven't realized a bracelet or necklace (although these as I said days ago I started two of them...) or something else. The fact is that I have so many visions-sketches that are better suited to this subject.

Anyway, them, these new earrings, in a way they connect to the opening speech because they are just a mix of types of beads techniques and passion. And they are the result of my 'detach' the head by a project that 'wasn't good' too (even this I mentioned a few days ago ^_^). I don't know what happen to you when this happens. When I restart a project, I redesign it, I begin to get my hands on and as I go I feel like I'm closer to what I would, I have a dip in the stomach and I feel HAPPY. I love the beads. They are my chocolate and my poison at the same time!

Orecchini, visione frontale e posteriore

-Earrings, front and rear-

Lo so, lo so, oggi parlo parecchio e avete ragione.

Allora, questi orecchini sono composti da tre parti: il perno, la parte centrale ed il pendente finale.

Un perno "ricoperto" di Rizo. Queste perline, come il loro nome anticipa, hanno la tipica forma del chicco di riso e presentano il foro ad una sola estremità. E' stata la mia prima esperienza con loro e ne sono abbastanza soddisfatta anche perché nel sacchetto ho trovato soltanto un paio di perline di scarto. Le ho lavorate su dello stiff-stuff, aggiungendo le perline in maniera circolare per ottenere questo effetto fitto a petali di margherita. Posteriormente un disco in finta pelle grigio per nascondere il perno.

            I know, today I'm talking a lot. So, these earrings are composed by three parts: the pin, the central part and the final pendant.

A pin "covered" by Rizo. These beads, as their name anticipates, have the typical shape of a grain of rice and have a hole at one end. It was my first experience with them and I am quite satisfied because I have find only a couple of beads waste. I have worked them on stiff-stuff, adding the beads in a circular way to achieve this effect in dense daisy petals. Later a grey suede disk to hide the pin.

La parte centrale è composta da un cabochon tondo (realizzato da me), di una bellissima e luminosa tonalità di verde decorato con foglia argento e pigmenti oro e rame, incastonato seguendo la tecnica Embroidery con perline rocailles 8/0 e 11/0. Posteriormente il lavoro è chiuso con suede viola rifinito ai bordi con rocailles 11/0 lavorate al Brick stitch.

Il pendente è composto da una goccia, un cabochon (sempre realizzato da me :-)) incastonato allo stesso modo del precedente con l'unica differenza che in questo vi è un giro esterno in più di perline rocailles 8/0, e all'estremità una lavorazione di perline fatta con Daghe e Rizo.

            The central part consists of a round cabochon (made by me), a beautiful and bright shades of green decorated with silver leaf and pigments, gold and copper, set according to the method Embroidery with seed beads measure 8/0 and 11/0. Later the work is done with purple suede trimmed the edges with 11/0 seed beads worked at the Brick stitch .

The pendant is composed of a drop, a cabochon (always realized by me :-)) worked in the same way as the previous one with the only difference that in this there is two round of 8/0 seed beads, and the extremity of the edge was embellished by a decoration with Daghe and Rizo beads.

Sono molto molto felice. L'ho già detto? A presto!

Passaggio, di nuovo orecchini -Passage, again earrings-

Ci sono almeno due 'grandi' progetti fermi sul mio tavolo, due collane, ma ultimamente sono tornata a concentrarmi sui miei amati orecchini.

There are at least two 'big' projects still on my table, two necklaces, but lately I came to focus on my lovely earrings.

Complici sono due motivi, il primo è questa nuova idea di 'foderare' i perni che mi ha preso parecchio e mi porta a 'studiare' provare e riprovare (non immaginate quante cose da sfasciare ho...) per ottenere quello che voglio, il secondo è l'aver riscoperto la scatola delle perline Cloisonnè.

            For this reason there are two explanations, the first is this new idea of 'cover' pin-earrings that brings me to try and try again (you don't  imagine how many things I have to melt...), to get what I want, the second reason is that I have rediscovered the box of Cloisonné beads.

Ne ho veramente tante e bellissime, e non so se sono loro ad ispirarmi ma continuo a disegnare nuovi progetti con loro come protagoniste.

La soddisfazione più grande di quando sei lì che infili perline e sposti lo sguardo a destra su quel foglio dove hai abbozzato un idea, è quella di essere riuscito a calcolare quasi tutto quello che potrebbero essere un ostacolo. Dico quasi perché per quanto mi riguarda non capita mai che io riesca perfettamente a essere 'fedele' all'idea di partenza. Del resto è normale, si deve passare dalla carta, da una superficie liscia e senza ostacoli alla tridimensionalità, considerare distanze e connessioni e rendere il tutto meno zavorrato possibile.

            I really have many and beautiful Cloisonné-beads, and I don't know if they inspire me but I still draw new projects with them as protagonists.

The greatest satisfaction for when you're there that stick beads and shift your gaze to the right of the sheet where you have a sketchy idea, is to be able to calculate almost everything that could be an obstacle. I say almost because as far as I'm concerned it never happens that I can perfectly be 'faithful' to the initial idea. It's normal, you have to switch from paper, from a smooth surface and no obstacles to three-dimensional form, considering distances and connections and make it less weighted as possible.

Per questo nuovo paio di orecchini ho foderato dei perni dorati con delle perline Toho  misura 11/0. La forma è quella di un ovale che sostiene questo disco Cloisonné di un colore blu elettrico. Il rosa delle rocailles richiama quello dei fiori al centro della perla. Le tecniche sono sempre loro, giri di Peyote ed Herringbone.

        For this new pair of earrings I have covered the golden pin-earring with Toho beads measure 11/0. The shape is that of an oval that supports this Cloisonné disk of an electric blue color. The pink seed beads remind color of the flowers in the center of the pearl. The techniques are always the same, rounds of Peyote and Herringbone.

  

Sotto una finestra, un varco, un passaggio, una struttura rettangolare sospesa che 'rompe' queste linee curve con i suoi spigoli 'morbidi' e con il suo colore puro, bianco. Per realizzarla perline Delica 10/0 lavorate (sempre) al Peyote ed Herringbone.

Il filo di rame dorato avvolto più volte su se stesso diventa protagonista oltre che elemento di connessione. Ultimo componente una perlina Cloisonné aperta.

            Under a window, a passage, a rectangular structure suspended that 'break' these curves with its 'soft' edges and with its pure color, white. To achieve Delica beads 10/0 worked (always) to Peyote and Herringbone stitch.

The copper wire wrapped several times on itself becomes protagonist and also a connective element. Last component is an open-bead Cloisonné.

A prima vista questo orecchino potrebbe sembrare 'troppo' carico, pesante quasi, ma indossato vi assicuro che è veramente leggero e visivamente equilibrato. Non vi pare?

              At first sight  this earring might seem 'too much' load and heavy too, but I assure you that it is really light and visually balanced. Don't you think?

Orecchini con gocce -Earrings with drops-

Cosa si fa quando la mente ha partorito un idea, le mani l'hanno trasferita sulla carta e poi manca un materiale?

What do you do when your mind have had an idea, hands have draw it on the paper and then you haven't some materials?

Si fa un ordine direte voi. Be sì, si dovrebbe/potrebbe... Ma c'è l'attesa, e quella non è una buona 'amica' per una come me che non ha la fortuna di avere nelle vicinanze un negozietto ben fornito...

            You say, you make an order. Yes, you should/could do it... but there is the waiting, and that is not good, at least for me that I don't have the fortune to have a good shop nearby...

Però c'è da dire che queste situazioni sono estremamente stimolanti perché richiedono una soluzione e ci permettono di 'crescere'.

Così anche per questo progetto la storia è stata questa.

            But it must be said that these situations are extremely challenging because they require a solution and allow us to 'grow'.

This is the story of this project.

L'idea di partenza era quella di voler fare di nuovo un perno, una goccia (forma che adoro), tutto da me. L'ho disegnata al rovescio di modo che si tuffasse a mantenere questo grande disco Cloisonné preso non ricordo neanche quanto tempo fa su Perles and Co. L'ho realizzata scegliendo delle perline rocailles misura 11/0 di un colore avorio opaco, per smorzare e bilanciare in un certo senso la luminosità dei toni presenti nel disco. La lavorazione è piuttosto semplice, Peyote ed Herringbone per ottenere la punta.

            The original idea was to make a new earring-pin, a drop earring-pin ( a form that I love), all by myself. I designed it in reverse so that dived to maintain this great Cloisonné disk took long time ago on Perles and Co. I realized this earring-pin with seed beads measure 11/0 of an opaque aivory colour, to dampen and balance the brightness of the colours disk. The process is simple, Peyote and Herringbone to get the tip.

Il problema si è improvvisamente posto al momento dell'assemblaggio per via della pietra, un('altra) goccia, che non avevo. E così sono incominciate le prove per farla da me. Vi dico subito che alla fine questo lungo pendente è stato realizzato con perline delica 11/0 utilizzando la stessa tecnica scelta per la goccia del perno, aggiungendo per la punta sei perline alla volta piuttosto che due. E' venuta fuori una goccia allungata e spigolosa che mi ricorda le immagini di alcuni minerali sui miei libri.

Per creare volume ho cucito insieme due gocce e 'riempito' la lavorazione con carta colorata.

Ed infine, filo in rame dorato misura 0,51 per unire le varie parti.

            The problem has suddenly placed at the time of assembly because I didn't have a drop stone. And so I begun to realize it by myself. It's coming off a drop elongated and angular that reminds me at the images of some minerals on my books.

To make it three-dimensional I sewed together two drops and 'filled' them with colored paper.

And finally, golden copper wire 0,51 gauge to join the various parts.

Per la serie non si smette mai di sperimentare... anzi, proverò al più presto a realizzare questa goccia con le rocailles (...magari verrà meno spigolosa).

            So, never stop to try out... I think I'll try as soon as possible to realize this drop with the seed beads (...maybe will be less pointy).

Orecchini asimmetrici -Asymmetric earrings-

Oggi, come titolo post preannuncia, vi mostro l'ultimo nato in casa L'Albero delle Perline, un paio di orecchini 'asimmetrici'.

Today, as the title of this post introduces, I show you the latest born in L'Albero delle Perline, a pair of 'asymmetrical' earrings.

Sono molto felice del risultato finale anche perché sono stati pensati-disegnati e fatti quasi in un colpo solo e senza molte prove.

La strada tra l'ideazione e la realizzazione non sempre è definita in partenza, capita che per ottenere un risultato si facciano  prove e aggiustamenti. Ma questa volta, per mia fortuna, non è stato così: subito identificate tecniche di tessitura e tipo di materiale per rendere al meglio quello che avevo abbozzato su carta.

            I'm very happy for the result because they were designed-drawn and made ​​almost at once and without much attempts.

The way between the conception and realization isn't always defined at the start, it happens that to get a result you make tests and adjustments. But this time, fortunately for me, it was not so: I immediately had identified weaving techniques and the type of material to make the most of what I had sketched on paper.

In realtà questi orecchini sono molto semplici, l'unico problema che mi ponevo era quello di come fare a tenere uniti tutti i pezzi tra loro per esprimere l'idea da cui ero partita, quella di voler creare una fascetta sottile e leggera come piccole canne di bambù unite tra loro. 

Un paio di orecchini differenti nelle parti che lo compongono, diversi ma anche molto delicati. I perni sono ricoperti da una lavorazione di perline rocailles 15\0 ottenuta alternando le tecniche Peyote ed Herringbone (ve lo avevo detto che sono sempre presenti!☺). A questi seguono una rondella di Agata fuoco dalle affascinati striature interne, e una lavorazione in Ladder stitch nel pendente composto da perline bugle (9 e 6 mm) e perline rocailles.

            In reality, these earrings are very simple, the only problem that I asked to me was how to keep together all the pieces to express the idea from where I was starting, that was to create a band thin and light as small canes bamboo joined together.

A pair of earrings different in its parts, different but also very delicate. The pins are covered by a working beaded seed beads 15\0 obtained by alternating the techniques Peyote and Herringbone (I told you that you they are always present!☺). These are followed by a washer-stone of Agate with fascinated internal streaking, and a Ladder stitch working in the pendant with bugle beads (9 and 6 mm) and seed beads.

Ho deciso di creare questo blog così, non di getto ma senza curarmi molto del contorno diciamo. Come potete notare qualcosa è cambiato tutto qui intorno in questa pagina, e si perchè quest'estate oltre a sole&mare ho spulciato le varie funzionalità di 'Blogger' e ho iniziato a fare delle prove (di notte, quando i miei pupetti erano già a letto!). Ed ecco qui il risultato di varie prove ed errori e aggiustamenti apportati da chi capisce questo linguaggio meglio di me, mio marito, che ha  dedicato parte del suo tempo alle 'mie cose'... (♥)

In questi ultimi anni ho imparato moltissimo dal web su tutto, da come utilizzare programmi tipo Photoshop alle tecniche di tessitura con perline. Quindi grazie anche a tutti quelli che condividono il loro 'sapere'.

            I have decided to create this blog in one go, without thinking too much. You can see that something changed in this page, because this summer, in addition to the sun and the sea, I have examined the 'Blogger' functions, and I began to make some tries (at night, when babies were sleeping in their beds). So here, the result of various attempt and errors and adaptation made of someone who knows this language better than me, my husband, that had dedicate part of his time to "my things"... (♥) In these last years I learned a lot of things from the net, like how to use some programs like Photoshop, or some beads stitch techniques. So thank you to everyone who share their "knowledge".

I piccoli pianeti di madreperla si sono "allineati fra loro" a creare un bracciale total white, adatto ad una sposa. Ho scelto di aggiungere una chiusura T-bar leggermente lavorata e di un colore argento anticato, un richiamo alla collana in madreperla al quale il bracciale potrebbe tranquillamente essere abbinato.

            Small planets of mother of pearl are "allign within them" to create a total white bracelet, suitable for a bride. I have opt for a T-bar claps in old looking silver, as  refer to the necklace of mother of pearl to which this bracelet could be matched.

E cosa fare con due madreperle di troppo? Un paio di orecchini davvero molto semplici con una monachella chiusa in Argento 925.

        And what to do with two extras mother of pearla planets? A pair of simples silver starling earrings.

E per chi ama gli orecchini che si fanno notare cliccando qui potrete vedere quelli fatti in precedenza sempre in abbinamento a questa collana. Del resto una sposa ha bisogno di una parure completa!
